“Report of the Federal Council” of 12/02/2025 on the “Situation of Tibetans and Uighurs in Switzerland” and “Study by the University of Basel The Situation of Tibetan and Uighur Communities in Switzerland: Effective and Wise Printing – Research Report from the Federal Office for Justice and the State Secretariat for Migration – ”
These historical documents, published on 12/02/2025 (Lhakar Day, White Wednesday), are important for any Tibetan leader and for any political and human rights support for the struggle of the Tibetan people. An inspiration for any European country whose leader submits to the dictates of the Chinese Communist Party to erase Tibet and Tibetan identity (the example of the Guimet Museum, whose board members, all linked to the Chinese United Front, were appointed by the French executive in 2023)
– the request of the Swiss Socialist Party which asks the government to take concrete measures to protect the two communities. As PS National Councillor Fabian Molina says in a press release, Switzerland must now present a strategy against this transnational repression: « It represents a danger to the national security and democracy of Switzerland », says Fabian Molina (National Councillor – Swiss political figure of the Socialist Party)
I thanked the Socialist Party, through Carlo SOMMARUGA (lawyer, Deputy to the Council of States, Switzerland), Jean TSCHOPP Conseiller fédéral, Clément BORGEAUD porte-parole and campagne Suisse latine, Colin WOLLMER for their solidarity with the Tibetan people!
Tibet (even occupied) and the Tibetan people (even in Switzerland) have THE RIGHT TO EXIST!
As a Swiss, of Tibetan birth, I hope that the report of the Federal Council will be followed by rapid and strong actions as also desired in this press release of the Swiss Socialist Party
Long live Tibet,
Long live the Tibetan People Friendships
