Le mot du jour du vice-Président de France-Tibet : « Résister, c’est refuser l’inacceptable » Lucie Aubrac

Aujourd’hui, Jour de Lhakar, Mercredi Blanc, Jour de la résistance non-violente tibétaine.

Comme le rappelait Lucie Aubrac (1912-2007), figure emblématique et héroïque de la Résistance française contre l’occupation nazie et le régime de Vichy : « Résister, c’est refuser l’inacceptable. »

Or que voyons-nous aujourd’hui ? La Chine et ses relais complices n’effacent pas seulement des mots comme « TIBET », ils effacent un peuple, sa culture, son histoire, son identité.

Un rapport récent de Human Rights Watch, relayé par Franceinfo, le dit clairement : au TIBET, la Chine assume une politique d’assimilation organisée qui ne relève plus d’une simple administration, mais conduit à l’effacement d’un peuple, de sa langue, de sa culture et de sa mémoire:

Dès les premières années d’école, les enfants tibétains sont poussés à abandonner leur langue maternelle au profit du chinois. Mais la politique va plus loin. Ils sont incités à enseigner le chinois à leurs propres parents, à filmer ces scènes et à les diffuser. La transmission est inversée : les enfants deviennent eux-mêmes les vecteurs imposés de la langue des occupants coloniaux au sein des foyers tibétains. Dès la maternelle, tout est organisé pour accélérer cette assimilation. Ce n’est plus une politique éducative. C’est une stratégie coloniale d’effacement visant un peuple, sa langue, sa culture et sa mémoire, bien au-delà des frontières du TIBET. Inacceptable !

Elle passe aussi par les mots. Supprimer le mot « TIBET », le remplacer par des expressions vagues, diluer une réalité historique dans des catégories plus floues, ce n’est pas anodin. C’est participer à l’effacement. Et cela est inacceptable. Pas seulement pour le TIBET, mais pour l’humanité. Nommer, c’est reconnaître. Ne plus nommer, c’est préparer la disparition.C’est là que le débat nous concerne directement, ici, en Europe. Peut-on reconnaître une politique d’effacement d’un côté, et prétendre à la neutralité de l’autre en effaçant le nom même de ce peuple ? Non.Les mots ont un sens. Et dans ce contexte, ils ont un poids politique. Alors oui, il faut le dire clairement. Cette politique est inacceptable.

Inacceptable parce qu’elle vise ce qu’un peuple a de plus fondamental : sa langue, sa culture, sa mémoire. Inacceptable parce qu’elle transforme une identité vivante en variable politique. Inacceptable parce qu’elle rend l’existence même d’un peuple discutable.

Refuser cela, ce n’est pas être radical. C’est être lucide. La résistance commence là. Dans ce refus simple de laisser passer ce qui ne doit pas l’être. Dire TIBET, c’est déjà résister.

En ce jour de la résistance non-violente tibétaine, je vous propose une résistance non-violente par la création d’étiquettes, d’affiches, de t-shirts, de pins, de cartes postales et de posts, avec une expression que je veux sans © copyright que vous pouvez copier et mettre sur tous supports, colorés ou non, sur fond de drapeau tibétain ou autre. Soyez créatifs et créatives. Dites non à l’inacceptable. Postez ici vos créations!

Mon message se veut universel. Le droit parle au juridique. Le devoir parle à la conscience.Ne vous gênez pas : copiez, créez et offrez vos créations avec ces expressions, sous forme de cartes postales par exemple, à toutes les représentations chinoises de vos pays, à vos élu-es, à vos élites et à tout citoyen-ne, au Musée Guimet, aux partis politiques, aux journalistes etc… Sous forme d’étiquettes, collez-les là où c’est légalement permis. Affichez ces expressions, portez-les, imprimez-les. Faites des posts sur les réseaux sociaux. Actez la résistance non-violente.

Quoi que fabule le Parti communiste chinois, le TIBET n’a jamais fait partie de la Chine, et le peuple tibétain n’a jamais été une minorité ethnique chinoise. C’est un fait historique !

Today is Lhakar Day, White Wednesday, the Day of Tibetan non-violent resistance.

As Lucie Aubrac (1912–2007), one of the emblematic and heroic figures of the French Resistance against Nazi occupation and the Vichy regime, once said: “To resist is to refuse the unacceptable.”

So what do we see today? China and its complicit relays are not merely erasing words such as “TIBET”, they are erasing a people, a culture, a history and an identity.

A recent report by Human Rights Watch, relayed by Franceinfo, states this clearly: in TIBET, China openly pursues an organized policy of assimilation that no longer falls under simple administration, but leads to the erasure of a people, their language, their culture and their memory:

From the very first years of school, Tibetan children are pushed to abandon their mother tongue in favor of Chinese. But the policy goes even further. Children are encouraged to teach Chinese to their own parents, to film these scenes and spread them online. Transmission itself is reversed: children become the imposed vectors of the colonizers’ language within Tibetan homes. From kindergarten onward, everything is organized to accelerate this assimilation. This is no longer an educational policy. It is a colonial strategy of erasure targeting a people, their language, their culture and their memory, far beyond the borders of TIBET. Unacceptable!

It also operates through words. Removing the word “TIBET”, replacing it with vague expressions, dissolving a historical reality into more blurred categories, is not insignificant. It is participation in erasure. And that is unacceptable. Not only for TIBET, but for humanity. To name is to recognize. To stop naming is to prepare disappearance.This is where the debate directly concerns us here in Europe. Can one recognize a policy of erasure on one side, while claiming neutrality on the other by erasing the very name of that people? No.Words carry meaning. And in this context, they carry political weight. So yes, it must be said clearly. This policy is unacceptable.Unacceptable because it targets what is most fundamental to a people: its language, its culture, its memory. Unacceptable because it turns a living identity into a political variable. Unacceptable because it makes the very existence of a people debatable.Refusing this is not radicalism. It is lucidity. Resistance begins there, in the simple refusal to let pass what should never be accepted. Saying TIBET is already an act of resistance.

On this day of Tibetan non-violent resistance, I propose a non-violent resistance through the creation of stickers, posters, T-shirts, pins, postcards and social media posts, using an expression that I want to remain free of © copyright, which you may copy and place on any support, colored or not, on a Tibetan flag background or any other. Be creative. Say no to the unacceptable. Post your creations here!

My message is intended to be universal. Rights speak to the law. Duty speaks to conscience.

Do not hesitate: copy, create and offer your creations using these expressions, for example as postcards, to Chinese representations in your countries, to your elected officials, your elites and fellow citizens, to the Guimet Museum, to political parties, journalists, and others. As stickers, place them wherever legally permitted. Display these expressions, wear them, print them. Post them across social media. Turn non-violent resistance into action.

Whatever the Chinese Communist Party may fabricate, TIBET has never been part of China, and the Tibetan people have never been a Chinese ethnic minority. This is a historical fact!
