ACTION URGENTE DE PLAIDOYER : BRUTALITÉ DE LA POLICE CHINOIS CONTRE GONPO KYI
Rappel article paru le 16 juillet 2023 : LHASSA : Gonpo Kyi se lève pour la sortie urgente de Dorjee Tashi
ICT a publié de nouvelles preuves vidéo des mauvais traitements brutaux infligés à Gonpo Kyi, la sœur de l’homme d’affaires tibétain injustement emprisonné Dorjee Tashi, élève courageusement la voix contre l’épouvantable brutalité policière à laquelle elle a été confrontée alors qu’elle cherchait à rendre visite à son frère incarcéré à la prison de Drapchi, également connue sous le nom de Tibet. Prison n°1 de la région autonome.
Les clips vidéo montrent un incident, le 1er août 2023, lorsque Gonpo Kyi a de nouveau demandé la permission de voir son frère emprisonné. Les autorités ont non seulement rejeté sa demande mais l’ont également accusée de se livrer à des activités illégales.
Les images montrent comment la situation s’est aggravée lorsque la police a eu recours à la force physique, la maltraitant en la poussant et en la tirant. Dans un moment déchirant, Gonpo Kyi montre les ecchymoses qui sont apparues sur ses bras comme preuve de la force excessive utilisée contre elle.
I) Contact your Country’s Embassy in Beijing and urge they:
– Call on Chinese authorities to immediately cease harassing Gonpo Kyi and her family and allow her to undertake freedom of speech and association, and immediately address her appeal for Dorjee Tashi’s release;
– Call for Dorjee Tashi’s immediate release on the basis that no evidence concerning the charges against him has been revealed and that his conviction was based upon due legal process or principles of justice established in international law;
– Seek urgent information and evidence concerning his medical health and call for him to be given immediate treatment by a doctor.II) If you have Foreign Ministry contacts we recommend contacting them and asking the same as above.
II) Contact your elected representatives and urge them to call on your Foreign Ministries to do the above. |
